A database leak has reportedly exposed the personal information of millions of Instagram influencers.
The database, which contained information such as phone numbers and email addresses, was traced back to a marketing company based in India – and is being investigated by Instagram.
As well as a privacy headache for the platform, this practice of scraping user’s data en masse is banned by the terms of service, as it offers rich pickings for hackers.

TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, is reportedly close to launching a music streaming service to rival that of Spotify and Apple.
TikTok, the incredibly popular app which has been downloaded by over 500 million users, is popular for its unique music-led short form videos, and is now looking to move in on the music streaming industry.
Currently the new service is only planned to launch in China, India and parts of Africa, however a successful campaign may see it be rolled out globally.

IGTV, Instagram’s video-sharing feature, has been given a refresh in a bid to boost popularity.
The feature, which was rolled out almost a year ago, has yet to gain significant traction, and is now sporting a look which mimics that of Snapchat and rising newcomer TikTok.
Replacing the single feed format for large video tiles, the feature hopes to keep users watching more content for longer.
